Bleak places can really blossom with a little vision and prodding,
and eventually turn into a dynamo like Las Vegas, or the other
former wasteland investors are even more amped to pump money into --
Dubai! (Baby needs a indoor ski hill!). For a fly new lounge
breaking ground in a gritty warehouse hood, seek out Cafeina.
Deep in the raw industrial blocks of western Wynwood, inexplicably
coffee-themed Cafeina was once part of the owner's flooring factory,
but has been transformed into a lounge/eatery/art gallery with
17-foot stone walls, a grove of high-end leather seating with fluffy
throw pillows, a bar filled with coffee beans, a mezzanine area
looking down on it all, and a garden out back.
